Governors Business and Pecuniary Interests

The following Business and Pecuniary interests have been declared by current Governors: 

Ellie Coyle (FKA Pegram) - an employee of The Sele School since 2009. Nothing further to declare. 

Alice (Molly) Haig - works as Information Coordinator, SENDIASS Hertfordshire County Council since October 2022 and has a child attending The Sele School since September 2019. 

Helen Helliwell - is the Chair of Trustees for the Armed Forces Covenant Trust and has a child who attends The Sele School.

Carolyn Messina - Employee of Pret a Manger since 2016

Rebecca Newman-Smith - Director of Art Explorers since August 2018, a company that works in local schools.

David Oyewole - Employee of The Sele School since April 2022  

Chris Quach - has been the Headteacher of The Sele School since Easter 2020. He is a Trustee of The Sele Farm Community Centre (a charity) and a member of BELMAS professional body. Chris' wife Dr Pires works for the NHS in an educational capacity.

Ashley Rawlings - Employee of PWC UK since September 2021

Carl Tosner - is an employee of Mount Grace School.

Clerk to the Governors:

Sophie Bruton - an employee of The Sele School since September 2013 and is a Corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Housing (since 1986). Sophie is a hirer of Sele School facilities for Green Arrow Cycling Club and for Cycling Time Trials, London North District but derives no personal financial gain from the hire of facilities at the school.

Nicola Douglas - is an employee of Roche Diagnostics Ltd since October 2021. Is a Director of The Entrepreneurs Advocate since May 2010; this is a dormant company, which has never traded.  

Peter Beattie - is an employee of Ultra Electronics Limited. 

Gemma Caruana - has been an employee of Freedom Destinations since February 2022, has been a personal friend of the Site Manager since 2000 and has a close relation whose business supplies electrical equipment to establishments such as schools, also since 2000   

Mandy Stageman - works for Grolman Ltd and has a child attending The Sele School since September 2019.

Alex O'Reilly - works as a Healthcare Manager for an NHS Foundation Trust since April 2010

Natasha Browne - an employee (Head of HR) of Allen & Overy and is the parent of children attending The Sele School.     

Paul Pickard - an employee of The Sele School since 2004. Nothing further to declare. 

Karen Morrell - an employee of The Sele School since October 2021. Is a personal friend of the Director of Village IT & Technology Services Ltd. Nothing further to declare.

Curtis Williams - works for the London Fire Brigade and has a child who attends The Sele School.

Suzanne Wintz - is a volunteer mentor for Safe Space, Hertfordshire County Council and has a child who attends The Sele School.

Stephen McEnally - is retired. He is an Associate member of the Nissan Institute at the University of Oxford, is a Senior Fellow of SOAS University of London, is on the Management Board of the Sainsbury Institute for Japanese Arts and Cultures University of East Anglia, holds an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from Oxford Brookes University, is the Honorary President of the Japanese Garden Society and is an adviser to the Clifton Scientific Trust.

Sian Shrimpton-Davies - Director of REd (Recruitment for Education) Ltd providing teacher recruitment services to schools other than Sele. 

Lorena Diomidous - is a Director of Swaffer Ltd 

Julia Bateson - is an employee of the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Partner and Director of Difference (2011) Ltd and of Excite-ed Community Interest Company providing education training. Julia is a member of the National Education Union but does not hold a position in managing the organisation or have any control. Julia has a child who attends The Sele School. Julia's husband works for Youth Connexions, as an adviser and is a Director of Difference (2011) Ltd. 

Alison Steaggles - is an employee at The Sele School.

Robert Wilson - Is a Governor at St Catherine's C of E Primary School, Ware.

Catherine Sleath - Works on a freelance basis for Excite-ed Community Interest Company (delivery of internet safety services in schools other than Sele) of which Julia Bateson is CEO and Director. 

Benjamin Jay - works for Herts County Council as Head of Corporate Finance.  He is a member of CIPFA. Benjamin has two children at The Sele School.

Linda Gentry - has a child at The Sele School.

Sophie Bruton - is now Clerk to the Governors; see above.
