Mobile Phones

Mobiles phones are a prohibited item; we do, however, accept that students may need phones for going to and from school. For this reason, we now operate a system of students handing their phones in while at school.

Mobile phones will be handed in at the beginning of the day and stored securely until they are handed back during form time at the end of each day or at the end of a correction if your child needs to stay late after school. Should your child need to leave school early for whatever reason, they will be able to collect their phone prior to leaving.

If a child needs to contact home in certain specific circumstances during the day, this will be done through the pastoral team. If a student has a mobile phone during the school day it will be confiscated and parents or carers will need collect it from school. A repeat offence will result in the phone been held until the end of the half term.
