Sixth Form - Senior Students for 2018 to 2019

Our Senior Students give their thoughts about life in The Sele School Sixth Form

Head Boy

Hi, I'm Jordan and I'm the Head Boy of The Sele School. I am very proud of our school because it is caring and supportive as well as strict and hardworking. We know our teachers well, and they us, which means we receive a second to none post 16 education. I am currently studying A Level Maths, Chemistry and Physics.  We all in Sixth Form are encouraged to take on leadership roles and extra-curricular activities, including DofE, volunteering, charity work, oh and I am also co-directing the school production. I know that all this is put in place for me so that I have a rounded experience that prepares me fully for my next step, which is to go to Keele University to study Astro-Physics.

Head Girl

Hello, I am Gemma, the Head Girl. Here at The Sele School we have excellent facilities, that support the hardworking atmosphere of the 6th Form which we know has been established for our best outcomes. Our teachers know us and we benefit hugely from our small class sizes. These create the best opportunities for us to be successful. We are all on committees that shape our 6th form provision and I am currently Chair of the Curriculum Committee. I am studying Maths, History and Business and I intend to go to university to study Accountancy and Finance.

Deputy Head Boy

My name is Jacob and I am Deputy Head Boy here at The Sele School. I am studying Maths, Physics, Further Maths and PE. I have always loved playing sports and thought I would have a future career in sport science. However, during Sixth Form, I have loved studying advanced mathematics. Therefore, after Sixth Form, I am hoping to go to The University of Southampton to study Maths with Actuarial Science.

Deputy Head Girl

Hi, I’m Amy and I am Deputy Head Girl. I am studying Art, Geography and English Literature at A level. I am very proud to be part of The Sele School and especially of my role on the Senior Student Team. I Chair our Social Committee which oversees work with our community and charities. We also focus on organising trips in conjunction with our Enrichment Committee as well as other social events. At the end of 6th Form I have two options; I plan on either going to university to begin my career in the Art Industry, or I will take a gap year to travel.
